The Nationwide Roofing Contractors Affiliation has introduced Robert Daly Jr., president of Kaw Roofing & Sheet Metallic, Kansas Metropolis, Kan., is the 76th recipient of its annual J.A. Piper Award.
The award was offered throughout NRCA’s 136th Annual Conference held March 6-9 in Dallas. The J.A. Piper Award is the trade’s most prestigious honor and acknowledges roofing professionals who’ve devoted fixed excellent service to NRCA and the roofing trade.
Daly is a third-generation roofing contractor who grew up working at his household’s firm throughout summers and holidays. After attending a semester of junior school, he was drafted over the last draft of the Vietnam Struggle and served two years within the U.S. Navy.
After serving his nation, Daly returned to school and graduated from Regis College, Denver, with levels in enterprise administration and economics. Daly additionally served as secretary/treasurer of Nationwide Roofing Companions; has co-chaired the Joint Roofing Business Labor and Administration Committee of the United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers and Allied Employees since 1989; has served on the Labor Negotiating Committee for Larger Kansas Metropolis Constructing and Development Trades Council since 1993; and is a member of the Roofing Alliance.
